8 foundations for people who absolutely detest foundation

LAST MONTH, WE picked nine of our favourite full-coverage foundations for people who like to look absolutely flawless.
But if you’re blessed with nice skin, want a lighter daytime option, or just literally hate the feeling of foundation on your face, you might like these.
1. It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream, €33.50
Sephora Sephora
This underrated beauty brand is available over here via QVC – the colour-correcting cream has a nice amount of coverage with a dewy finish that will make you look fresh as f**k. Plus, it has SPF 50+, a very nice addition indeed.
2. The Ordinary Serum Foundation, €6.70
The Ordinary The Ordinary
Firstly, this is so darn cheap. Secondly, it’s got a very thin consistency (serum-like, as the name suggests), meaning it feels like nothing when you blend it in. Nice.
3. Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, €28.80
Debenhams Debenhams
Tinted moisturiser, but fancy. Dry skinned-folks will love this, which packs in loads of hydration with a skin-perfecting tint. The photos in this review are extremely convincing.
4. Bourjois City Radiance, €13.99
Bourjois Bourjois
Bourjois is the king of drugstore complexion products, in our opinion, and even though they’ve discontinued the 123 Perfect CC Cream (boo) we have this.
The City Radiance foundation combines light, luminous coverage with SPF 30. Why don’t more affordable foundations do this? Cut out the middleman, we say.
5. Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation, €42
Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte Tilbury
If you’ve got a bigger budget, it’s definitely worth popping into a Charlotte Tilbury counter and having the very friendly staff demo Light Wonder on you. It’s sheer but buildable, leaving you looking radiant and healthy.
6. L’Oreal True Match, €14.99
Superdrug Superdrug
The shade range of this classic was recently expanded, giving people the opportunity to stop and consider it again. You can apply a thin layer to even out your skin tone for day, and ramp it up to a fuller coverage for night. A good all-rounder.
7. Mac Face and Body, €32
Brown Thomas Brown Thomas
This cult product from Mac has a very fluid consistency, and can be applied in layers to achieve a light to medium finish. You do have to work fast, as it sets quite quickly, but the result is even, smooth-looking skin.
8. Armani Luminous Silk, €46.50
Brown Thomas Brown Thomas
AKA The Daddy Of Them All. This stuff is violently expensive, but it in turn makes you look expensive. It’s light, like a second skin, and gives you a lit-from-within appearance. Try it if you dare, because for many, there’s no turning back.
